About Dusty Rhodes, CFRE
Executive leader, consultant, speaker, writer and president of Mission Growth Strategies, LLC, Dusty works with leaders who recognize the importance of strategic innovation to grow their revenues in order to increase their mission impact! For over 30 years he has led the raising of tens of millions of dollars in a wide range of mission-driven organizations, bringing a relational, results-focused approach to every engagement.
Dusty’s leadership journey spans inner-city ministries, faith-based media and radio, education including private schools and other types of nonprofits. He has held roles from frontline team member to senior executive—including General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President. A former award-winning radio host and program director, he brings excellent communication skills alongside operational expertise.
As a strategic fundraising practitioner and executive, Dusty has equipped founders, boards, CEOs and development teams to build visionary strategies, grow their donor bases, and lead with confidence. His experience working with high-capacity donors, business leaders, and church communities fuels his unique ability to connect vision with funding.
Dusty is a charter member of the Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB), a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and a member of the faith-based CEO Experience (CXP).
Dusty and his wife Irene have been married nearly 45 years, have three daughters and six grandchildren, and continue to serve faithfully in their home church near Washington, DC.
